Soutenez l’atelier de sérigraphie d’ANKAA project, un centre de formation pour personnes déplacées à Athènes.

Grâce à des espaces de travail autogérés, associés à des programmes personnalisés, nous développons et améliorons des compétences, facilitons l’entrepreneuriat, ouvrons des voies d’accès à l’éducation et aux opportunités d’emploi, tout en soutenant de bonnes relations au sein de la communauté locale.

Notre centre dispose des départements suivants : arts culinaires, informatique et média, langues (grec et anglais), coiffure, couture et atelier de construction.

L’atelier de Ankaa (en partenariat avec Scrap COOP) est un espace de travail ouvert, disponible pour tous les membres de ANKAA project. Un des buts principaux est d’aider les membres d’ANKAA à être payés pour leurs compétences. Nous travaillons actuellement avec une boutique (Layali) à Syntagma, Athènes, qui a accepté de vendre les productions réalisées à ANKAA. Nous participons également à divers événements en Europe, où il nous est possible de vendre nos productions (comme lors des Fair Fashion Days au Luxembourg).

Dans l’atelier il est possible de travailler : le métal, le bois, l’électronique, la joaillerie et la sérigraphie.

QUOI ?

ANKAA est un lieu qui encourage chacun à partager ses compétences. Durant mes études d’art en France, j’ai appris comment imprimer en sérigraphie, ainsi, j’ai récemment démarrer un cours de sérigraphie à ANKAA pour partager cette technique.

Durant ce cours, les étudiants apprennent l’ensemble du processus d’impression en sérigraphie, puis peuvent créer leur propre projet et travailler dans l’atelier de façon autonome.

Ce crowdfunding nous aidera à élargir le cours à un plus grand nombre d’élèves ainsi qu’à améliorer l’équipement de l’atelier de sérigraphie.

POURQUOI?

ASPECT CRÉATIF La sérigraphie est une technique d’impression manuelle qui permet d’imprimer en masse sur tous types de surfaces. Elle est utilisée dans l’industrie pour des productions massives mais il s’agit également d’une technique utilisée par les artistes. Cet atelier est un espace de créativité et un espace de production.

OPPORTUNITÉS PROFESSIONNELLES L’atelier de sérigraphie permet aux membres d’ANKAA de fabriquer des produits qu’ils pourront ensuite vendre (t-shirts, sacs etc). Ces productions peuvent être des créations personnelles des étudiants ou des commandes. Cet atelier est un espace d’expression mais aussi une opportunité pour les étudiants de gagner de l’argent et pour le projet Ankaa de s’assurer le financement indispensable pour que les cours continuent.

COLLABORATION La sérigraphie est aussi une technique faite pour la collaboration, qui est justement essentielle au projet ANKAA. Par exemple, nous avons réalisé des impressions pour cinquante sacs issus de la classe de couture. Nous avons également imprimé les emballages des savons fabriqués lors d’un cours à ANKAA. Et à la fin du mois de mars, nous commencerons un cours spécial qui mêlera couture et sérigraphie.

Nous essayons de recycler autant que possible le matériel d’Ankaa (papier, carton, etc), mais nous devons acheter le matériel de base.

Through self-led workspaces, matched with personally tailored programs, we build and improve skillsets, facilitate entrepreneurship, provide pathways to education and employment opportunities, as well as encourage good relations within the local community.

Our workspace hosts the following: Culinary Arts, IT and Media Lab, Language (Greek and English), Library, Barber, Tailor and a Construction Workshop.

Ankaa workshop (in partenership with Scrap COOP) is an open workspace, which is available for all members of Ankaa project to use. One of the biggest goals is to help people get paid for their valuable skills. We are currently working with a shop (Layali) in Syntagma, Athens, who have agreed to sell products produced in Ankaa. We also participate to events in Europe, where we can sell Ankaa’s production (such as Fair Fashion Days in Luxemburg ).

In the workshop we can do: metal work, wood work, electronics, jewellery and screen printing.

WHAT ?

ANKAA is a place that encourages everyone to share their skills. During my art studies in France I learnt how to do screen printing and so I have recently started running a screen printing class at Ankaa to share this process with others.

During this course students learn the entire process of screen printing and then are provided with the opportunity to come up with their own project and work in the workshop independently in their own time. This crowdfunder will help us to expand the class to more students and also support the build out of screen printing workshop space with more equipment.

WHY ?

CREATIVE ASPECT Screen printing is a manual printing technique that allows mass printing on all types of surfaces. It is used within industry as part of mass productions but it is also a technique used by artists. This workshop is a space of creativity and a production space.

PROFESSIONNAL OPPORTUNITIES The silkscreen workshop within ANKAA project will enable people to produce products which they can then go on to sell (such as T-shirts or bags). These may be students’ own creations or specific orders. This workshop is a space of expression but also an opportunity for the students to earn money and for Ankaa project to secure much needed funding to ensure that classes can continue.

COLLABORATION Screen printing is also a technic made for collaboration, which is central in ANKAA project. For example we printed on 50 bags from the tailoring class. We also printed the packaging for soaps that were produced in a soap workshop held at Ankaa. Also at the end of march, we will commence a special course which will enable students to learn both tailoring skills and screenprinting at the same time.

We try to upcycle and recycle as much as possible Ankaa’s material (paper, carboard etc) but we have to buy the basics tools.
